Why may breaking bones not be necessary nor desirable for bunion correction surgery?

It has never been demonstrated that bunion deformities can only and best be corrected by breaking bones. Dr. Wu has been able to correct >1,700 consecutive bunion feet without having to break any bones at all. It is in fact unnecessary because, contrary to popular belief, bunion is actually formed by displaced normal bones and they can be moved back to their normal positions freely. Moreover. it may not be desirable to break-n-shift normal bones because it can make the condition more complicated and compromise the all-important function of the big toe side of foot for walking etc.
